Last night parents were invited to see what 1st Fatfield Scouts had been up to in the last programme (though a few probably only turned up for the tea and biscuits!!)

The program, Quantum Leap, involved some great activities such as Free Running, practising our precision jumps and rolls. A trip to Quasar, the ultimate Sci-Fi adventure, which was fun for everyone, despite the fact some teams were beaten by almost double points!  We also looked at what uniform might be like in 2018, bringing out some of our artistic talents in Designed Look. Playing with robots in Nxt Generation lead to some competitive behavior, especially when sweets became involved! Finally we had Look Back, discovering what Washington looked like in the past, directing leaders in their cars proved difficult but we all managed to have a great time anyway, despite a few wrong turns!

At the presentation some of the Scouts gave an overview and some of the many highlights of this program, explaining why this program, had been so much fun. The biggest highlight, however, being Gainford Camp, braving the cold weather to play games,  racing while flipping pancakes , having a go on the Xbox Kinect and even having a night time visit to a graveyard, (we presumed was just an ordinary field). The scariest moments came at the wide game on Saturday Night at Egglestone Abbey, but afterwards we all headed back and after a nice cup of hot chocolate and a film fell asleep unphased by it.We were sad to leave the next day, mainly because the sun had eventually came out!
