Scouts: Summer Camp - The Adventure of a Lifetime

Imagine a place where you could live outdoors with a group of friends for a week. Make choices, cook for yourselves, learn things. Imagine a place which was perfect as a base for outdoor activities, for falconry, for rafting, for shelter building and for mountain biking.

Imagine a place where you had responsibility and freedom... Imagine a place where you’re part of a big team, a team that says ‘well done’ when you get there but helps you along when you don’t.

Imagine a place where you get closer to nature and where the sun sets deep in Tweed valley, the river flows and the air is clear. That place is The Yair, near Galshiels in the Scottish Borders.

At summer camp we take up residence in a ‘green field’ building our own campsite, toilet, cooking areas. We make use of the fantastic river, woodland and fields.

When: Saturday 24 July – Saturday 31 July 2010
Where: Yair House, Galashiels, Scotland.
Places: Limited to 40 young people. Allocated on a first-come basis by deposit payment.
