Scouts from 1st Fatfield and 3rd Washington spent the day exploring Hamsterley forest trails.
We honed our skills on 'The Loop' with jumps, bombholes, drop offs, board walks and other obstacles putting our technique to the test. Only a few minor cuts and bruises later we were all skilled up. According to Chris the liquid plaster hurt far more than the accident itself.
In the afternoon we took to the blue route for a pleasant 9 mile ride taking in much of the forest drive before climbing out of the valley ready for some awesome 30mph downhills.
We're in the process of getting our videos online - check out 3rd Washington's mountain biking page to see the best bits.
Our next biking adventure promises to be a cracker as we head to Chopwell Woods. Date to be confirmed.
